Swing Studio Refresh
As you are aware from other Club communications, the Swing Studio has had a refresh, both from a layout and technology point of view. This has been a joint effort between the Club and Pro’s Team, and we are extremely grateful to all those involved in the refresh project.
We have now moved away from the GC2 HMT system, and have replaced it with a ceiling mounted Trackman IO (Indoor Optimized). This is brand new state of the art technology, which allows individual and coaching use. There are various practice facility options, and, also, there is 400 courses available to play. As the new Trackman technology is fixed / ceiling mounted, right handed and left handed golfers can play together, without the need for moving any technology or amending any settings.
For those of you interested in gathering your data, you can download the Trackman app (on Google Play Store or Apple Store), create a Trackman account, and then when using the Studio, link your account by using the QR code or pin code on the screen. You will then be able to view and compare your data on your phone.
The Swing Studio remains available for use, and can be booked via the My Courts system or by visiting the Pro Shop. The setting up of the Swing Studio is slightly different from previous, so, if you’d like a brief overview prior to your next booking, please discuss this with the Pro Shop, ideally prior to making your booking, as the Pro Shop will have limited staffing availability over the festive period, with normal service resuming from 2 January 2025.
Please be aware that we are still learning the system ourselves, and we are waiting for the Trackman team to visit us to provide us with a full training briefing. Once we have had this and are more familiar with the system, we will be hosting a series of open afternoons / evenings for fob users to attend to learn more about the exciting facility. We will also be writing out to invite the whole membership to these events, and any non-studio fob members will be able to sign up to get a fob, and receive a login for the booking system. We are hopeful that we can hold the events early in the new year, although, we haven’t yet got a firm date for our training.
